12 Days - 11 Nights

Relax and unwind on Sri Lanka’s best beaches, starting with Negombo’s coastal charm. Continue to Kalpitiya for dolphin watching and Pigeon Island. Explore Trincomalee’s cultural sites, then enjoy the shallow waters of Pasikudah Beach. Discover the ancient city of Anuradhapura before heading to Kandy for cultural and botanical wonders. Experience “Little England” in Nuwara Eliya, then relax in Bentota with water activities. Explore Unawatuna Beach with whale watching and more relaxation before concluding your tour and heading to the airport.

Day 1 – Negombo

Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport (Colombo), where you’ll meet the representative from Stelaranholidays Travels & Tours. Transfer to Negombo, a beautiful beach town. Spend the day relaxing at the beach, soaking in the coastal atmosphere. In the evening, enjoy a city tour of the Fishermen Village, where you can experience the local culture and vibrant life along the coast.

Day 2 – Kalpitiya

Leave Negombo and head toward Kalpitiya. En route, visit Alwielindawa Natural Wetland and Alwielindawa National Park, where you can explore the rich biodiversity and scenic landscapes. Once in Kalpitiya, relax at the beach and enjoy dolphin watching. If time allows, take an optional excursion to Pigeon Island, known for its natural beauty and coral reefs.

Day 3 – Trincomalee

Optional early morning excursion to Pigeon Island to witness vibrant coral reefs and marine life. Then, visit the Trincomalee War Cemetery, one of the Commonwealth war cemeteries, to learn about the history of the area. Afterward, head to Golensand Beach to unwind. Also, explore The Shiva Temple and a local hot water well for an interesting cultural experience.

Day 4 – Pasikudah

Travel to Pasikudah, known for its stunning, long, shallow coastline where the water only reaches your knees, allowing for a unique experience of walking into the ocean. Explore Muhudu Mahavihara, an ancient Buddhist temple with rich historical significance. Enjoy the day at the pristine Pasikudah Beach, perfect for a peaceful day of sunbathing or swimming.

Day 5 – Anuradhapura

Today, explore the ancient city of Anuradhapura, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Visit the magnificent Ruwanwelisaya Stupa, and the Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi, the sacred fig tree. Marvel at the Samadhi Buddha Statue. In the evening, take a village tour to discover traditional Sri Lankan life. If you’re up for a challenge, take an optional trip to Sigiriya, the iconic rock fortress known for its murals and stunning panoramic views.

Day 6 – Kandy

Travel to Kandy, stopping en route to visit the Golden Temple in Dambulla and a Spice Garden to learn about Sri Lankan spices. Once in Kandy, explore the Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya and the sacred Tooth Relic Temple. In the evening, enjoy a Kandy city tour followed by a cultural dance show, showcasing traditional Kandyan dance and music.

Day 7 – Nuwara Eliya

Journey to Nuwara Eliya, known as “Little England” due to its colonial architecture and cooler climate. Admire the Tudor and Georgian-style buildings and visit the beautiful rose gardens. Along the way, enjoy the scenic views of mountains and waterfalls. Visit lush tea plantations to learn about Ceylon tea production and stop at a tea plantation, Hakkagala Flower Garden, Ambewela Farm, Horton Plains, and a Strawberry Farm.

Day 8 – Bentota

Begin the descent toward Bentota via Hatton, taking in the scenic views of tea plantations and waterfalls along the way. Stop at Kithulgala for an optional white water rafting experience on the Kelani River or enjoy a refreshing river bath in the crystal-clear waters. Proceed to Bentota for a relaxing evening by the beach.

Day 9 – Bentota (Relaxation Day)

Take the day to relax at Bentota Beach, known for its golden sands and calm waters. Enjoy the variety of water activities available, such as surfing, diving, or a boat journey to explore coral formations. In the evening, take a leisure walk along the beach, watching the sunset over the Indian Ocean.

Day 10 – Unawatuna

Embark on an optional whale watching adventure early in the morning. After your whale watching excursion, unwind at Unawatuna Beach, known for its soft, white sandy shores and clear waters. Spend the day soaking in the coastal vibes, swimming, or just relaxing on the beach.

Day 11 – Unawatuna

Enjoy another leisurely day in Unawatuna. Spend your time on the beach, relax by the pool, or explore the surrounding area at your own pace. This is a perfect day for unwinding or engaging in water activities like snorkeling and diving.

Day 12 – Last Day in Sri Lanka

On your final day, transfer back to Bandaranaike International Airport (Colombo), taking an approximate 3-hour journey. Conclude your Sri Lanka tour and head to the airport for your departure, taking with you unforgettable memories of your journey across Sri Lanka.
